Baden Württemberg Cooperative State University
With effect from 1st March 2009, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University based in Stuttgart was created from the former Baden-Württemberg Vocational Academy. By the award of University status, the dual studies according to the Baden-Württemberg model will receive even higher international recognition. One of the main new features is the task of cooperative research.
The close interlinking of theory and practice in the education of students developed at the vocational academies is being handled as an exemplary cooperative effort between the state and its commercial enterprises. The eight locations of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University currently have around 27,700 registered students. In cooperation with over 9,000 partner companies and social organisations, the Cooperative University offers an extensive range of courses in the fields of economy, technology and social services.
