 Welcome to the CORDIS website dedicated to R&D activities in Belgium
From 1 July till 31 December 2001, 75,000 visitors consulted the Belgian CORDIS website which was devoted to the research, development and innovation aspects of the six months Belgian presidency of the European Council.
Today, this site is updated with the aim to foster the further integration of Belgian scientists in the European research area and their participation in the 6th Framework Programme.
It offers an overview of the institutional landscape and responsibilities concerning R&D, statistics on the Belgian participation in the 4th and 5th Framework Programmes, links to relevant sites, contact points,
There will be regular news of current R&D issues, announcements of forthcoming events, interviews with key figures and selected features periodically placed under spotlight.
Also news and information about exploitable technologies and research of Belgian partners in FP's will be provided in order to stimulate the links with the market.
Finally, this site will be regularly updated. For instance, a section concerning the mobility of researchers (grants, social security, taxes,
) envisaging to stay in Belgium will be added.
As such, the service, available in English, French, Dutch and German, will be able to improve the closer co-operation in the areas of R&D and innovation.
