CERIF work is now in the hands of euroCRIS. Please refer to http://www.eurocris.org/ and then to the term "CERIF" on the menu bar.

How / when can CERIF users get access to the ORTELIUS thesaurus?

Answer

The European Commission is preparing an agreement for the user rights for all recognised CERIF users with the Ortelius Consortium.

As soon as an agreement is reached, the CERIF users will be alerted by email, and a message will appear on the CERIF web service

- Proposal for term (Descriptor)
- Proposal for the positioning in the hierarchical structure, indicating the Top Term of the cluster (Mandatory)
- Proposal of related terms from Ortelius (Mandatoy)
- Proposal for translation in English (Mandatory)
- Proposal for translation in other community languages (Optional)
- Scope note (Optional)
- Proposal of non Descriptors (Optional)
