Within the framework of COST 335, a seminar was organised in Brussels on 30th and 31st October 1997 to address key issues in EU rail policy as well as to look in detail at topics specific to the large and growing market segment of disabled and elderly rail passengers.
These proceedings collate and integrate the presentations given at the seminar, and provide an interesting overview of the subject of the Action. They include different perspectives from practitioners and policy makers in the rail industry, representatives of rail passenger user groups, those involved in planning, operational and marketing issues and designers, engineers and architects involved in rolling stock and stations.
