 Society: Public Awareness Research related topics and Society There are ongoing public debates covering a whole variety of emotionally charged scientific issues that are sometimes difficult for a layman to fully understand. Often also some ethical questions arise. In order to make up your own mind on certain issues, you can search for relevant information, for instance on the Internet. Four particular subjects have been chosen for which this section of the Cybercafé offers a selection of links to relevant sources throwing light upon the subject from different viewpoints: scientific, ethics, pro's, contra's and doubts. These are only examples illustrating how certain information can highlight a point from different perspectives, thereby helping to shape your own standpoint.
