Abstract

Following the first exercises, it became apparent that regions needed more information about the various tools they can use to carry out RIS / RITTS. The objective of the project was therefore to produce three guidebooks covering the following three important themes of RITTS/RIS projects:

  • the analysis or regional firms' needs,
  • the investigation of the regional innovation support infrastructure, and
  • the assessment of the impact of global technological trends on the regional industrial fabric.

Main results

These guidebooks present, in a language which is accessible to regional practitioners, the various methodologies available to perform those tasks. They have been published and will be distributed to the regions (i.e. about 70 regions), while the documents will be generally available.
