Dynamic Control and Management Systems in Manufacturing Processes

The objectives and approach are:

To bring software tools for the design and simulation of manufacturing processes to the attention of all participants, especially to Eastern European companies and researchers;
To agree in standards for software systems in order to enable exchange of research expertise;
To develop software tools related to dynamic systems identification, control and simulation, and to discrete event systems control and simulation, applicable to specific industrial needs;
To investigate an overall strategy for optimisation of manufacturing processes both through the use of management information systems and the use of dynamic control algorithms;
To explore ways to effectively exchange scientific information between partners in the network.

Close links with the European network EURACO (European Robust and Adaptive Control in the Human Capital and Mobility Programme) have been established. Several exchange visits that strengthened the collaboration have taken place. The consortium has three new partners, one of which (Advanced Control Technology Club) comprises more than 30 British and international companies.
