More than the "Network Computer"! Examines the emerging use of devices and access technologies other than wired desktop workstations and Pcs, such as TV-based devices such as set-top boxes, and mobile devices such as personal communicators.
- Interfaces

Looks at intelligent interfaces and emerging interface technologies and software - new interface metaphors, virtual-reality based interfaces and new forms of ATMs (automatic teller machines).
- Electronic Payments

Opens with an overview of what is possible in electronic payments, followed by papers on different payment technologies: methods based on credit cards, electronic cheques, and e-cash. Also covers smartcards.
- Networking and Connectivity
Tuesday 26 November, 9.45-11.15
Addresses current issues in networking: mobile networks, new client/server architectures, ATM-based networks and their penetration and impact, and the performance and distribution of processing power.
- Identification, Privacy, Security and IPR

Surveys encryption methods, identification problems in both EDI and Internet, signature integrity and authentication, electronic privacy issues, and global certification systems.
