A Network of Excellence is being set up to support activities in i³. The principal role of the network will be to allow interaction and coordination across all i³ projects and schemata. The network will initially be made up of the network proposers and the selected schemata proposers. Later it will be open to representatives of the selected projects, as well as to any other interested parties that could make contributions to the aims of the initiative. Another important role for the network will be to keep a broad community informed about i³. This will be necessary both at the time of the call for projects and afterwards during the evolution of project work.
