The outline programme includes an Investment Forum and features the 1998 European IT Prize Awards ceremony, a range of Austrian-themed events, a celebration of NetD@ys Europe, and the launch of the European Commission's Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme. The Mayor of Vienna will host a reception in the City Hall on 30 November, and a reception for the press will be held in a Heuriger on 1 December.
The Exhibition, open throughout IST 98, will include:
IST 98 will be preceded on 29 November in Vienna's Technical Museum by the EuroPrix MultiMediaArt 98 Gala and the first part of an info2000/MLIS conference. The info2000/MLIS conference will continue on 30 November in the Austria Center.
Special accommodation rates will be offered to IST 98 delegates, who will have a choice of a wide range of hotels in different categories. The hotel list will be available at the beginning of September.
