"Transforming European science through Information and Communication Technologies: challenges and opportunities of the digital age"
Understanding the complex process of transformation of European Science through the use of Information and Communication Technologies is a difficult task. In this page we will try to provide a reference to a limited number of selected documents (available in the public domain), activities (conferences, workshops, research) and other useful information with a particular significance for the tasks of the Working Group. While this is primarly a working space for the group itself, we have considered it useful to keep this resource open to all interested parties and also open to contributions. If you have an interesting site to propose to us or a number of documents to upload, you can do that by sending your proposals toDimitri.Corpakis@ec.europa.eu. We reserve the right to evaluate the proposed resource before uploading the link or the document to the server.
Our first approach follows the first orientations for structuring the report. Thus you will find here links related to the following areas:
Technologies / Infrastructure issues
Changing ways Science is performed due to ICT penetration
New organisational issues
The Interplay with Society
Other useful links for general reference
