The regional approach to innovation is best delved into via www.rinno.com, a “resource for regional innovation and technology transfer”. Its centrepiece is a database describing over 400 regional policies for innovation, in 16 countries, and giving contact details.
Benchmarking at European level is under way in an increasing number of policy fields.
