The best and brightest in e-commerce
An independent report compares the overall technological performance of ten nations, with a particular focus on the United Kingdom. It finds that the USA is still the most "e-mature" nation in the world, with Sweden, Canada and the UK falling in behind. It also assembles a "dream team" of 32 e-commerce policies from around the world which have had a dramatic impact on their markets.
 
Bridging a new digital divide
As 13 candidate countries prepare to join the European Union, the pressure is also on to develop and modernise their information technology sectors in keeping with Europe's goal to become the world's most dynamic e-economy. But could expansion further widen the complex digital divide that exists in the candidate countries? A panel of experts says the risks are real.
