Fourth International Workshop on Remote Sensing of Vegetation Fluorescence, Valencia, Spain
Sun-induced fluorescence of terrestrial vegetation is an important indicator of biosphere dynamics and is also a terrestrial component of the carbon cycle. A space borne mission to observe such activities is in the planning stages.
This workshop, therefore, aims to cover scientific and technical issues associated with remotely sensing vegetation fluorescence. The workshop will also focus on application areas, modelling activities (canopy fluorescence radiative transfer, direct and inverse signal modelling), ground and airborne campaigns, new instrumentation (field, aircraft, satellite), studies on atmospheric effects and correction methods, new fluorescence retrieval techniques such as spectral fitting methods, access to actual photosynthesis (relationship to radiation and diurnal variations, to CO2 flux, complementarities with Physiological Reflectance Index, etc.), and detecting and monitoring vegetation stress (robust indicators, impact of spatial variability). For further information, please visit:
