My inspirational moment

Actually two moments have been important in my life. The first one was when I was 18 and had decided to study ICT just because I liked working with PCs. I still had unclear ideas about my future, but that choice made possible what I do today. The second was when I was 30. At that time I already had my degree and I was working as a programmer. I didn’t like that work and I realised that I prefer doing research. It is much more exciting and allows you to concretely make the future! That is why I decided to follow my dreams and look for a PhD position somewhere. It was a great move!

Your data, your future

My technology guru

I think that having a mentor, or at least having a person that inspires you for what he does or did in his or her life, is fundamental. In my case this is Fausto Giunchiglia. He always surprises me as a scientist and person for his incredible energy and for his professional and human integrity.

Unbeatable Advice

Follow your instinct. Dreams are all what we are. Just choose what you like, believe in it and push for it until the end of your days!

Predictions

Social computation, i.e. finding innovative ways that people and machines will ‘collaborate’ and ‘interact in the future.
