Information on regional and cohesion policy
The European Commission, DG XVI, has published a prior information notice concerning a forthcoming contract for information and communication activities in the field of regional and cohesion policy. An invitation to tender in respect of this contract should be published in the Official Journal of the European Communities in April 1998. The overall contract value will be around ECU 7,000,000, over an estimated four year period. The Commission wishes to conclude a one-year contract, which may be renewed a maximum of four times. The contract will cover a wide range of services necessary for the planning, implementation and continuous assessment of various information and communication activities relating to regional policies within the framework of the Commission's strategy. This will involve in particular: - Advice on the continuation and innovation of the information strategy with regard to regional policy and cohesion; - Relations with the media and the target public affected by regional policies; - Management and promotion of events; - Communication tools including advisory support and the preparation, production and dissemination of material relating to the European Commission's regional policy.
