TACIS Contract Information - Georgia and Uzbekistan
The European Commission, DG IA, has published a booklet providing contract information relating to TACIS technical assistance for Georgia and Uzbekistan under the 1998 budget. The publication provides details of a number of projects to be funded by the TACIS programme, for which the European Commission intends to launch restricted invitations to tender. Organizations interested in tendering for these contracts will find details on how to express their interest in the booklet. For Georgia, a total of nine projects will be funded, within the following fields: - Transport and telecommunications; - Energy; - Human resources development; - Enterprise restructuring and development; - Food production, processing and distribution. In Uzbekistan, the booklet gives details of 17 planned projects, in the following areas: - Human resources development; - Enterprise restructuring and development; - Institution building; - Food production, processing and distribution; - Energy; - Transport and telecommunications.
