A new category for the EuroPrix'98 MultiMediaArt contest in creativity has recently been announced. The competition, organized by DG XIII of the European Commission under the INFO2000 programme, in conjunction with the Austrian Ministry for Economic Affairs, will be judged at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 1998. The prize will be awarded to the best overall entry judged by an independent expert jury. Special recognition will also be given to the best three products in each category. The additional category, recently announced, is for a student award, covering multimedia productions already developed by students, selected and entered in the contest by their university, institute or school. The other five categories, previously announced, are: - Knowledge and discovery; - Valorization of European culture; - Support for SMEs in the market place; - Improving democracy with multimedia; - First steps in multimedia.
