Cooperation models such as the EUROPARTENARIAT and INTERPRISE schemes, funded under the EU's third multi-annual programme for SMEs, are specific instruments developed to encourage partnerships between industries and services in Europe. The European Commission intends to test other cooperation models for SMEs which have been developed at national and regional levels to assist SMEs in preparing for internationalisation. This will aim to verify the applicability of these models at a European level. Two models will be tested under this call: - The Firmenpool scheme which aims to assist pools of companies through a local expert in selected third countries; - The Campagnonnage programme which involves tutoring pairs of heads of businesses from different countries in the same sector.
