Recycling of PVC waste
In the context of Community waste management policy, the European Commission, DG XI, has published an invitation to tender for a study on the recycling of PVC waste. The study, which will cover the 15 Member States of the EU, will: - Make a quantitative and qualitative assessment of existing PVC waste recycling systems; - Identify the potential environmental, technical and economic problems involved in the recycling of PVC waste; - Analyse the impact of the presence of PVC waste on the development of the recycling of other plastics; - Identify Community and national measures which are likely to improve the recycling of PVC waste. The contract should be completed within 18 months.
