Reporting on the safety of toys
The European Commission, DG III, has published an invitation to tender for the provision of services linked to the implementation of Directive 88/378/EEC on the safety of toys. The services required would include the provision of technical reports linked to the activities of the group of bodies notified under the Directive, and in assisting the Commission on technical matters related to the implementation of the legislation. This would include specific technical reports on areas such as national restrictive measures taken by Member States against CE-marked toys. The contract will last for an initial period of 12 months, which may be renewed twice for periods of twelve months.
