Euroabstracts: February 1996
The February 1996 issue of "Euroabstracts", which provides information and abstracts of European Community RTD publications, has recently been published. The February edition is the first in a new format, which will extend coverage to Member States' national policies, as well as providing more information on newer publishing formats such as CD-ROM and the World Wide Web. "Euroabstracts" will now be published every second month by DG XIII of the European Commission. Section I of the latest issue features brief articles on RTD in several Member States and on several Community RTD programmes. Longer articles cover the following topics: - Remote sensing in the European Union; - Accessing information on European research; - Environmentally friendly plastics; - The biomedical and health research series; - Community research on the World Wide Web. Section II includes abstracts of some 198 recent Community publications on research, science and technology, covering a wide range of subjects, such as: chemistry; earth sciences; engineering and technology; energy; life sciences; materials; mathematics, computers and telecommunications; nuclear science; and engineering and physics.
