Language engineering projects selected after Telematics Applications first call
Twenty projects have been selected by the European Commission, DG XIII, for funding in the language engineering sector of the specific RTD programme in the field of telematics applications of common interest. The projects were selected from amongst those submitted in the first call for proposals published on 15 December 1994 (OJ No C 357), which closed on 15 March 1995. A total of 79 proposals were submitted specifying language engineering as their main sector. The call in that sector was for proposals under action line one (pilot application projects) and action line three (research on the work programme), with a budget of ECU 23 million. The projects submitted requested funding totalling more than five and a half times the available funds. The projects selected are listed in the text (TXT) field of this news item.
