The Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT) manages statistical work on research and development in two main areas: - DOSIS: an action plan for statistically-oriented shared-cost projects in information technology, telematics, transport and socio-economic areas. The programme seeks proposals from multinational consortia for collaborative R&D projects in areas of statistical development; - SUP COM: a programme to fund short, usually one-year projects supporting the current EUROSTAT work programme. These are the subject of a recent call which closes on 15 July 1996 (OJ No C 150 of 24.5.1996 p. 27). Details of all these projects, and the projects subject to the recent call, may be found on the World Wide Web.
