Exploratory Awards for RTD projects for SMEs - example proposal
One of the "Technology Stimulation Measures for SMEs", established to increase the participation of SMEs in the Community's Fourth RTD Framework Programme is the Exploratory Award. In order to assist SMEs in preparing an application for an Exploratory Award, the European Commission, DG XII, has published an example proposal. An Exploratory Award allows an SME, with limited or no research capacity, to develop a full proposal for a project within one of the Community's specific RTD programmes. The example proposal, using a fictitious company, is designed so that SMEs interested in applying for an Exploratory Award can see the types of information and the detail required on the application form. The example provides guidance on drafting and presenting a successful proposal. The example proposal should be used in conjunction with the Information Package for the Technology Stimulation Measures for SMEs.
