Understanding biodiversity - An agenda for research into biodiversity
The European Working Group on Research and Biodiversity (EWGRB), established at the initiative of the Community's Environment and Climate research programme, has produced a report entitled "Understanding biodiversity - An agenda for research into biodiversity". The main mandate of the EWGRB is to produce a common research agenda based on an established consensus. The present document is a first step in this direction and is based on the results of a distributed questionnaire, as well as of a meeting and brainstorming session held in Stockholm in April of this year. The Group is presently inviting comments, suggestions and criticisms on the "Understanding Biodiversity" agenda document which is presently available on the World Wide Web at: http://europa.eu.int/en/comm/dg12/envir/ewgrb.html
