Proceedings of the European Conference on Pulp and Paper Research
The European Commission, DG XII, has published the proceedings of the European Conference on Pulp and Paper, held in Stockholm, Sweden, in October 1996. The conference, which was sponsored by the Agriculture and Fisheries (FAIR) research programme, presented the results of Community-funded research projects and actions relevant to the pulp and paper sector. It also aimed to review future challenges and research needs in the field. The book includes the opening addresses given at the conference. The major part of the book consists of descriptions of recently finished and ongoing research projects grouped around five themes: - Pulp and paper technologies; - Tools for pulp and paper research; - Recycling, reuse and environmental aspects; - Biotechnology; - Life cycle analysis.
