Chemical processes and reactions under extreme or non-classic conditions
The European Commission, DG XII, has published a book presenting an overview of cooperative research undertaken within the context of COST Action D6 - Chemical processes and reactions under extreme or non-classic conditions. A European programme of concerted research on chemical effects and applications of high pressures, high temperatures, ionizing radiations, microwaves, plasmas, supercritical media, and ultrasounds, was launched in 1993 under the auspices of COST. This action stimulated extensive cooperative research in these fields. The present publication, containing contributions from the various European laboratories involved, testifies to the dynamism of European research in this area.
