The European Commission, DG III, has published an invitation to tender for experts to support the activities of the ESPRIT research programme in the field of Information Technologies. Experts are required for the following five lots: - Lot 1: One expert to support clusters of electronic commerce projects, in particular on technological aspects like building blocs in electronic payments, copyright management, transaction handling, intelligent and secure electronic commerce; - Lot 2: One expert to support clusters on global market developments in electronic commerce in particular with respect to business organization and industrial sector impact as well as the techno-legal dimension of electronic commerce; - Lot 3: One expert to provide support on the communication and dissemination of results of electronic commerce and business process organization projects, with special attention to SMEs. - Lot 4: One expert to provide technical support to ESPRIT actions on electronic systems design (ESD) and best practice for advanced applications; - Lot 5: One expert to provide technical support to the ESPRIT action supporting first users (FUSE), in particular SMEs, in the take-up of advanced microelectronics and microsystems technology. Lots 1, 2 and 3 are launched by Unit F/6 - Business processes, multimedia systems and application of microprocessors, whereas Lots 4 and 5 are launched by Unit F/3 - Components and subsystems, microsystems and peripherals. The work will be carried out in Brussels in the Commission's premises. Contracts would be concluded for one year and 220 days for each expert.
