Child health has been and remains a high priority in the EU. Research aimed at improving children¿s health and quality-of-life has been supported throughout EU Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development ¿ the EU¿s main instruments for funding research in Europe. In the Seventh Framework Programme (2007-2013) child health was highlighted as one of the priorities across the Health Theme.
