Periodic Report - GLUTRAF (Ultra-high resolution imaging of GluR1 trafficking in neuronal spines)
Document Date: 2012-03-14
Document Type: Project report
Abstract: This is the publishable summary of the GLUTRAF project, which was funded under the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and aimed at analysing the molecular mechanisms involved in the recruitment and redistribution of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptors (AMPARs) in neuronal synapses.
The document firstly provides an overview of the project background and then focuses on its scientific objectives and on the questions for which answers were sought. The three specific GLUTRAF aims are presented, along with the progress that was obtained. In addition, explanatory figures highlighting the most significant project findings are included in the report.
