Sustainable restoration and long-term management of contaminated rural, urban and industrial ecosystems (STRATEGY), Final report (summary)
Document Date: 2007-12-11
Document Type: Project report
Abstract: Urban (including industrial), agricultural and semi-natural environments may be contaminated for many years following a nuclear accident. To sustain acceptable living and working conditions, a capability to implement robust and effective restoration strategies is required. Experience after the Chernobyl accident has shown that remediation strategies need to consider a wide range of different issues to ensure the long-term sustainability of radioactively contaminated areas.
