This is the periodic report of the CANCERSYS project which received funding from the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) to develop a three-dimensional mathematical model capable of explaining fundamental processes in the formation of hepatocellular cancer.

The first introductory section provides a brief description of the project objectives. The main results starting with the spatial temporal model, the signalling modules which should later be integrated into the spatial-temporal model and finally, the model validation in vivo are subsequently described.
