Final Report - YTANIZAWA (Dissecting dynamic monoaminergic nervous system in c. elegans with genetically-encoded neuron activator protein channelrhodopsin-2)
Document Date: 2012-03-14
Document Type: Project report
Abstract: These figures accompany the final activity report of the YTANIZAWA project, which was funded under the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and aimed to examine the response of the c. elegans worm nervous system to various stimuli in order to study multisensory processing in its simplest form at multiple levels, ranging from gene to behaviour.
The first figure demonstrates the lack of additive effect in behavioural response when two inputs were presented simultaneously. On the contrary, the second figure highlights the enhancement of response to the second stimulus in case interval was allowed between the inputs. Finally, the third figure represents the efforts to measure neurons' activity in behaving worms using genetically-encoded sensors.
