Project Proposal
Quality of compressed air and energy efficiencyTitle: Quality of compressed air and energy efficiency
Type Details: In many food, pharmaceutical and some other procesing technologies, compressed air is coming in direct contact with product. If the air is not prepared adequately, some of the contaminants (solid particles, oil vapour, water, viruses, bacterias, etc..) may interact with product (food, drug, etc.) and possibly change the odour, look or even spoil or poison the product. On the other hand if the compressed air is prepared to an unneccessary good quality it will cost more money in two ways. First, investment for the compressed air preparation is more costly and secondly, such preparation units will use more energy during their whole life cycle. This research is aimed at defining the usefull recomendations that will, eventually, emerge to standards concerning the neccessary level of compressed air preparation for specific industries or proceses.
