Conference on ageing and neurodegeneration, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany

[Date: 2011-08-11]

A conference on ageing and neurodegeneration will take place from 1 to 4 September 2011 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany.

A significant proportion of ageing individuals in modern society is affected by the late onset of diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders. The reasons why age could be a risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease are still unknown. A better understanding of the molecular basis of both ageing and neurodegenerative diseases could lead to new therapeutic and preventive strategies.

The aim of the conference will be to bring together stakeholders to address neurodegeneration disorders and create a forum for scientific debate and exchanges.
