14th International Congress of Radiation Research, Warsaw, Poland

The 14th International Congress of Radiation Research will take place from 28 August to 1 September 2011 in Warsaw, Poland.
The scientific programme of the event will cover all of the major disciplines of contemporary ionising and non-ionising radiation science, including physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and radiation protection.
In association with the Congress, satellite symposia will be organised in Cracow, Poland, Prague, Czech Republic, Kiev, Ukraine, and Jülich, Germany. These will cover such topics as:
- following the ideas and work of Maria Sklodowska-Curie (Cracow);
- ethics of environmental health (Prague);
- health consequences of the Chernobyl disaster - a quarter century later (Kiev);
- physical, molecular, cellular and medical aspects of Auger processes (Jülich).
The event is being organised under the auspices of the Polish Council Presidency of the European Union and the honorary auspices of the Polish Minister of Economy.
