'Seminar on long-term impact and effects of information technology systems', Vienna, Austria

An event entitled 'Seminar on long-term impact and effects of information technology systems' will take place from 19 to 20 April 2012 in Vienna, Austria.

The event is being organised by the EU-funded 'Support action to contribute to the preparation of future community research programme in user-centred design for eco-multimodal mobility' (DECOMOBIL) project. DECOMOBIL is seeking to develop and widely disseminate knowledge in the area of human-centred design of information and communications technology (ICT) for sustainable transport.

The seminar programme will cover a variety of topics, focusing on the following:
- information technology systems that fit DECOMOBIL project goals;
- predicting the medium- and long-term effects of systems;
- how do sustainability-enhancing systems work in a 'hostile' environment;
- creating the systems of the future.
