TANDEMplusIDEA project final conference, Aachen, Germany

2009-07-24

The EU-funded TANDEMplusIDEA project will hold its final conference on gender and diversity in science, technology and business under the title 'Going diverse: innovative answers to future challenges' on 29 and 30 October in Aachen, Germany.

Today's world is rapidly changing. Internationalisation and globalisation, modern and individual lifestyles, demographics, migration and labour shortage, as well as urgent issues like the environment, scarce natural resources and the global financial crisis, are influencing change. These challenges are framed by progressive political and legal decisions that have shaped the world in the last decades, including matters on equal opportunities and equal rights.

The conference will focus on all aspects of gender and diversity in science, technology and business, including the following topics:
- 'Instruments of gender and diversity-oriented human resources development';
- 'Institutionalisation of gender and diversity concepts, organisational development and cultural change'.
