The European Commission, DG VI, has published an invitation for the submission of applications to participate in a restricted invitation to tender to assist in the clearance of the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF). This will involve assisting the guarantee accounts unit of the European Commission in the audit of the IT security of paying agencies. These agencies are the bodies in the Member States that are responsible, on behalf of the EAGGF, for the payment of aids to persons and firms in the context of the Common Agricultural Policy. Each selected contractor may perform IT audit work in one or more selected paying agencies, assisting the clearance of the EAGGF accounts unit by providing an audit report and appropriate recommendations covering, inter alia: - IT organization and management; - Physical and logical IT security; - Systems development, programming and maintenance and application controls; - Security of central operations, telecommunications and microcomputers; - Contingency planning.
