In order to ensure that author's rights, guaranteed in EU legislation, are being effectively and adequately protected, the European Commission has published an invitation to tender for a study. This study should look at the transposition and application of the following three directives in the Member States: - Rental Right Directive (92/100/EEC); - Satellite and Cable Directive (93/83/EEC); - Terms of Protection Directive (93/98/EEC). The study, to be completed within 12 months, should analyse the transposition of these directives to ensure the effective establishment of the internal market in intellectual property and to guarantee adequate protection of exclusive rights. Tender documents may be requested, in writing only, from: European Commission DG XV - Internal market Unit E.4 100 Avenue de Cortenberg (C-100 4/9) B-1049 Brussels Fax +32-2-2993051
