PROSOMA ESPRIT - Second edition of CD-ROM showcase
The results of almost 500 successful ESPRIT projects are presented in the second edition of the PROSOMA ESPRIT CD-ROM showcase. The PROSOMA showcase is designed to give users easy access to essential business and technical information on the results of projects funded by the EU's Information Technologies research programme (ESPRIT). PROSOMA ESPRIT aims to add value to the results of the ESPRIT programme, promoting the new technologies and services developed with a view to attracting new users and encouraging technology transfer. With full multimedia facilities, PROSOMA allows access to information in text, pictures, video, audio, animation, and software demonstrations. With full search facilities, users can search by sectors, keywords or country of origin, or do a free-text search. The PROSOMA CD-ROM runs on both Windows 95 and Windows 3.x environments. An alternative to the CD-ROM showcase is the PROSOMA Website, which provides access to all the content on the CD-ROM. This Website is updated every other week, so contains even more information than the CD-ROM, although the CD-ROM obviously provides quicker access to information.
