The European Commission, DG XXIV, has published an invitation to tender for the submission of projects capable of enhancing levels of consumer protection. The overall aim is to disseminate expertise built up on consumer protection issues to specialised trainers. The subjects proposed must have a bearing on current Community policy in this area. Top priority will be given to the following subjects: - Food safety; - Product safety; - Financial services; - Implementation of rights for consumers; - New marketing techniques; - Comparative tests; - Standardisation of products and services; - Information Society. Priority will be given to projects submitted by groups of consumer organisations, established in several Member States, having a common interest.
