Combating social exclusion
In order to prepare for future Community action on combating social exclusion, the European Commission, DG V, has published a call for proposals for activities which will aim to improve knowledge in the field and develop innovative approaches to promoting social inclusion. The initiatives will also aim to develop the exchange of information and best practice and to evaluate and benchmark experience in promoting social inclusion. There will be three strands of activity: - Improving knowledge of current experience in Member States in tackling social exclusion, including evaluating action and policies; - Exchanging experience and information on current approaches to promoting social inclusion; - Promoting networking between NGOs on the exchange of best practice and the impact of civil dialogue on tackling exclusion and promoting social inclusion.
