Call for proposals for Community action programme to promote environmental NGOs
The European Commission, DG XI, has published a call for proposals under the Community action programme promoting non-governmental organisations (NGOs) primarily active in the field of environmental protection. The Commission would provide financial support to NGOs for carrying out their annual work programme for a maximum period of twelve months. Applicant organisations must be operating at a European level, meaning that their structure and activities should in principle cover several European countries. Financial assistance may be obtained under this call for proposals for activities which are of Community interest, contribute significantly to the further development and implementation of Community environmental policy and legislation and meet the principles underlying the Fifth environmental action programme.
