Competition policy information, communication and the Information Society
The European Commission, DG IV, has published a call for expressions of interest for the provision of technical assistance in the field of competition policy, information, communication and the Information Society. Expert consultants will be required to assist the Commission in future cases in the following areas: - Economic analysis; - Regulatory analysis; - Interpretation of trends; - Contact and communication with market players and policy makers; - Telecommunications and value-added services; - Public network services; - Satellite communications; - Cable TV communications; - Information technology and computers. Consultants must have a demonstrable knowledge of both competition law, and specifically the application of Articles 85 and 86 EC, and of the industries and services concerned. The call for expressions of interest will be used to create a file of potential contractors, who will subsequently be invited to submit tenders concerning activities in their fields.
