The European Technology Facility (ETF)

The European Technology Facility (ETF) is part of the " Amsterdam Special Action Programme (ASAP)" launched in 1997 by the European Investment Bank . ETF aims to provide venture and equity capital for high-technology and fast growing SME projects by taking equity participations in specialised venture capital funds. ETF has been launched in November 1997 and has a budget of 125 MEuro for a period of three years.

ETF is managed on behalf of the EIB by the European Investment Fund , alongside its own equity operations and alongside the ETF Startup Facility .

Innovative SMEs willing to benefit from the European Technology Facility will have to contact directly the financial intermediaries which are selected by the EIF or they can first seek guidance on innovation financing sources and how to prepare for them from the Gate2Growth Initiative .
