This brochure provides descriptions of past and present research activities in the 4th and 5th EC Framework Progrogramme on the development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for a variety of scenarios and environments in Europe to serve both the scientific community and the general public including interested stakeholders.
The specific Decision Support Systems developed in the field of off-site emergency management and restoration aim at improving risk assessment and management following nuclear accidents resulting in a more optimal allocation of resources to health, safety and environmental protection. Its more general aim is to publicise these useful tools and methods for appropriate applications. |
