Project duration
QUESTION
 Is there a maximum duration period (3 years) related to the grant agreement regulations?
ANSWER
There are no limitating rules regarding the maximum duration of a grant agreement or other EC-funded research project under the 5FP.
Nevertheless, as a general principle linked to the execution of the 5th FB budget, the financial commitment of any grant must be made during the duration of the 5th FP (1998-2002). The actual duration of the project may continue beyond the duration of the 5th FP. This may also be the case for the related payments.
