In order to assist the integration of researchers from the 11 candidate countries in the implementation of FP5, the Commission is encouraging potential participants to include research teams from these countries in their proposals.

Following a number of enquiries concerning the research organisations existing in the candidate countries, it was agreed with these countries that it would be helpful to make available lists of all their organisations which had already participated in EU RTD programmes. These lists give an indication of the universities, research centres, companies etc., where researchers with experience of European research programmes can be found.
